Elena Joroski – Coach Roxy

I wasn’t always an athlete!!!

In 1996 the seed was planted during a Women’s specific triathlon. It was my first competition. The feeling of overcoming the fear and anxiety that came with it was a great sense of accomplishment. This was a new discovery that led me to many more events in the future from Triathlons to Marathons, and half marathons.

As the years went by, and we raised our daughters, I found that the ability to be active and fit through competitive sports was a parallel to life. The parallel was overcoming the unknown and facing challenge, then conquering those challenges to receive a great feeling of accomplishment, pride and success when it was all over.

In 2009 I joined San Jose Bicycle Club and in 2010 I began as a competitive cyclist at the age of 44! I continue to race at an amateur level but I decided I wanted to take my personal experience and pass it on to others. Giving them the tools and the skills to overcome obstacles that may hold them back from riding there bicycles.

I have a level 2 Cycling Coach credential through USA Cycling. I am a certified skills instructor. Been a board member on San Jose Bicycle club for 8 years and involved with the Women’s Race Team and in a leadership role from 2010-2017. 2014 Hill Climb District Champion, 2016 Road Race District Champion. The fitness and enjoyment that comes with this new found confidence I believe will open up new doors for success both mentally and physically.

My previous trade was people oriented so it is my ambition to merge my love of people with my love of cycling. Together I can help transform someone’s desire to ride a bike giving them the confidence through acquired knowledge and skill.

My program will be focused on the beginner athlete and the novice competitor. Monthly coaching is also available to help achieve your goals.
